What to Expect for Initial Appointment
The initial session typically spans around 45 to 60 minutes, allowing us to thoroughly assess your medical history, understand your current health status, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. Follow-up visits generally last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
For individuals taking medications and/or supplements, it is essential to provide a comprehensive list of everything you are currently using. Please e-mail us your diagnostic reports such as Complete Blood Count (CBC), X-ray, MRI, CT Scan, etc to better assess your health condition.
Guideline for your appointment
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow yourself time to unwind and relax before the session begins.
It is recommended to wear loose-fitting or comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled up above your knees and elbows. This will facilitate better access to your acupuncture points during the treatment. Medical gowns are also available for certain treatment sessions.
It is advisable not to come to acupuncture on an empty stomach. It is also advisable not to come in with caffeine in your system. This will give our acupuncturist a false reading during the pulse taking portion of the consultation. However, it is best to avoid consuming a heavy meal within 1 hour prior to your treatment.
Don't forget to bring your insurance ID card and a valid photo ID with you to the appointment.
